Giant and the File

In November 1993, Campagnolo printed "The Giant and the File," a biography of Tullio Campagnolo written by Italian sports juornalist Gianni Brera.  This rarely seen book was never sold, but was presented to dealers and visitors to the Campagnolo headquarters in Vicenza.

Due to copyright restrictions, we can't provide the text of the book on this site.  However, we can report that it is a portrait of a brilliant, driven man whose passion for cycling and invention overshadowed his role as a husband and father.  It's an interesting read, made somewhat more difficult by the dense, allegory-laden prose (somewhat ham-handedly translated into English).  It's a must-read for true Campy fans--if you can get your hands on one.
