Gios Torino Super Record

The Drivetrain –Campy SR FD and NR RD

The infamous Campy Gran Sport speed attenuators

The other half of the Gran Sport’s

Forks without the well known Gios crown

My permanent work-in-progress. Got this bike from a friend a couple of months ago. Changed out all the Shimano components with bits and pieces I had in my garage and some help from the local bike shop. Still has some non-campy components, most of which will be changed out as and when I can source them. Bike bears the logo of Van Landeghem Sport – tracked it down to a bike shop in Belgium from where it must have been originally imported into South Africa.

Frame    & Fork

Gios Torino Super Record 59cm (c to c) Steel with chromed fork.

Judging from photo’s I estimate the bike to be early 70’s because of chromed fork. Anyone out there who can help me date it more accurately? No crown on fork either just the Gios logo.

Bars

Cinelli 40cm (c to c) mod campione del mondo

Too big for me – will change to a narrower bar with a shallower drop when I find one.
