Three riders--Ron Lew, Paul Guttenberg,
and Eric Norris (your Campy Only web guy) headed out from Davis on
Saturday, August 24, 2002, for Lake Tahoe. 36 hours, 270 miles,
and 17,000 feet of climbing later, we had completed the first
"Tahoe Epic." For photos from the second annual Tahoe

few stats:
- Day one: 150 miles, 13,300 feet
of elevation gain, 13.7 mph average speed from Davis to South Lake
Tahoe. Route included summiting the top of Mormom Emigrant
Trail, Carson Pass, and Luther Pass.
- Day two: 120 miles, 4,000 feet of
climbing, 18.0 mph from South Lake Tahoe to Davis. Route
included Echo Summit and a descent on Hwy 50.
