"Here's a refinished '92 Medici (right) with '98/'99 gear and a NOS '90 Bottecchia (above) with '98 Record Chorus gear. You can go both ways with the retro thing.  Older frame new gear or visa versa. I personally like the later technology but am a sucker for well-made lugged frames."
