June 17, 2007: New
Fixie Not a ride, but a bike. We saved this Schwinn Suburban from
the landfill. Took off all of the derailleurs and shifters,
changed out the stock wheels for a set of fixed-gear wheels that were
hanging in the garage, put on a seat and basket from the parts bin, and
ended up with a fun town bike. Total cost: $0
June 16, 2007: Big Fix
Reunion One year after the start of the Big Fix, several BF Alumni gathered
again in Davis to ride and reminisce. Here are the photos (and video).

May 4-6, 2007 Last PBP Qualifier, 600 kilometers from Davis to the Mendocino coast
and back. Click on the image for more photos.
April 28, 2007 Third PBP Qualifier. I was scheduled to ride the Davis Bike Club's
400K, but illness intervened and I missed that ride. The Santa Rosa
Cycling Club's 400K was available, so I rode this qualifier and then
(see above) the DBC's 600K the next weekend. This 400K went from
Windsor (near Santa Rosa) to Clear Lake via Cloverdale and Ukiah.

January 21: Winters to
St Helena Very windy this morning, but we hoped (mostly correctly, as it
turned out) that the wind wouldn't be as bad in Napa County.
Presented below, several CampyCam videos from the ride.
January 7: Stonyford
Loop 88-mile loop starting in Maxwell, CA, and passing through Lodoga,
Stonyford, Elk Creek, and Willows. Gorgeous, back-country
California scenery. Check out the photos--several presage rides
we'll be doing soon. Click
